Shelly - Pink Fund recipientI was diagnosed with Triple Negative Stage 3 breast cancer on December 28th, 2016. As a single mother to a 21 year old son who just lost his Dad to cancer the year before… my biggest concern was how was I going to tell him. How was he going to do this with another parent… it just isn’t fair. Then I decided that no matter what I don’t have a choice but to beat this… my son will NOT be left in this world without a parent. So started my fight… along with friends and family we would get though it emotionally. Now, financially would be another story. I am my only provider so if I don’t work my bills don’t get paid. The Pink Fund helped in bridging some of the financial stress. I am through my 5 months of chemo, surgery and 28 radiation treatments now officially in remission. I cannot thank The Pink Fund enough for what they do! Your foundation’s help has eased my stress level so that I could breathe a little easier. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
