End of Summer Reflection - The Pink Fund

End of Summer Reflection

As I reflect on my experience with breast cancer and why I started The Pink Fund, I can’t help but think about how the importance of our mission has changed in recent months.

As an organization based in Michigan, it was jarring to learn that Michigan, the 10th most populous state, has the sixth-highest number of newly uninsured adults during the pandemic, as thousands have lost health care coverage as a result of losing their jobs.

Six months in, the effects of the pandemic are running rampid and the need for funding is at an all-time high. It has been challenging to adjust to a changing climate as a nonprofit organization, but a challenge only means we push harder.

Please know that we are here for you. And every day, we are so appreciative of our community for supporting us through it all.
